The wireless industry is retiring 2G and 3G networks to focus resources on the latest technology and Cellcom will soon shut down its 2G and 3G networks, which will impact home internet devices. Customers with a 3G-only router will need to complete a free upgrade to a 4G (LTE) router and select a new plan to keep their residential broadband internet service. Cellcom will retire its 2G and 3G data networks on March 31, 2023.

Can I use this device anywhere?
No. This is a residential product and only available on certain towers within Cellcom’s network. Our team will verify based on the service address if you’re located in an eligible area.
What devices are impacted?
Customers with an Axesstel MV440 Router will need to upgrade to the BEC 6600 router. If you are unsure if you have one of the devices needing replacement, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer care team.
What happens if I do not upgrade my device?
You will not be able to use it once the 2G and 3G networks are shut down. To avoid loss of service, you need a device that is compatible with new technology.
