Canada/Mexico Calling

Make calls to Canada/Mexico from the United States on a Cellcom wireless device.

Canada/Mexico Calling - $10 per line

International calls are only allowed to Canada and Mexico. You must add an international feature on your line. To place a call to Canada or Mexico, you must first dial 011, then the country code and then the number. Plan minutes or airtime charges apply when calling from your home calling plan area. While roaming, standard long distance rates apply in addition to roaming charges. The Canada/Mexico calling feature has a monthly feature charge and is subject to change without notice. Cellcom reserves the right to terminate this feature if less than seventy-five (75%) of the customer’s international overall minutes of airtime are used in Cellcom’s licensed market during any three-month period during the term of this Agreement.

How to block a number on iPhone:

  1. Go into your call log, within the "Phone" app.
  2. Select the "i" next to the phone number or caller.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and select "Block this Caller."

How to block a number on Android:

  1. Open the "Phone" app.
  2. Tap the "More Options" icon (three dots).
  3. Tap Settings > Spam and Call Screen.
  4. Turn on or of Caller ID and spam protection. Then tap "Block Numbers" > toggle on "Block Spam and Scam Calls".

Important Information

Prepaid services requires an E911 compliant phone, compatible with Cellcom’s network. A line set-up fee will apply. Account deposits are nontransferable and nonrefundable, are used on a first-in, first-out basis, and will expire after one year. Any unused account balance is forfeited. All accounts must have funds added/available by close of business day on the Replenishment Date. As a result of non-replenishment, your account will expire, and service will be interrupted. Prepaid accounts will cancel one month after expiration. A line set-up fee and new wireless phone number will be required to reactivate service. Charges: Airtime is billed/deducted in 60-second increments. Nquire/411 Directory Assistance calls are charged plus airtime. Plans: Your plan amount will be deducted from your account on your replenishment date. If you have insufficient funds, your monthly plan will not be replenished. Cellcom reserves the right to terminate service if less than fifty percent (50%) of the customer’s overall minutes of airtime are used in Cellcom’s market. Refer to Cellcom.com/AUP for acceptable use policy for voice, data, text services. Voicemail: Cellcom reserves the right to deactivate any voice mailbox that has not been initialized within 60 days of activation or any mailbox that has not had any messages for over 60 days. Applicable airtime charges apply when checking voicemail messages. Use of visual voicemail deducts from data plan allowance. Wi-Fi Calling allows you to make and receive calls over any Wi-Fi connection. To use Wi-Fi Calling you must activate the feature on your smartphone, accept the Terms and Conditions and enter a physical U.S. address (no P.O. Boxes) where you want emergency service sent to if you call 911. You must also have Internet access through your device’s Wi-Fi connection. Any Wi-Fi call made to a U.S. number will be treated as a domestic call, no matter where the call originates. Any Wi-Fi call made to a non-U.S. number will be treated as an international call. If you lose your Wi-Fi or Internet connection while on a call, your call may drop. You can disable Wi-Fi Calling by disabling it in your smartphone settings. If you leave Wi-Fi coverage your call (excluding 911 calls) will switch to cellular automatically if you are in a supported coverage area and VoLTE is enabled on the device. If you leave Wi-Fi coverage and are in a 3G-only area the call will drop. Autopay required for $5 per month discount on the Prepaid Unlimited Plan. Coverage Maps: Coverage maps indicate where rates apply and may not depict actual service availability or wireless coverage. Coverage areas depicted are approximate. To inquire about specific service availability in a geographic area, contact Cellcom’s customer service at (800) 309-9911. Geographic terrain, weather conditions, and type of equipment may affect cellular coverage. Wireless service is subject to technological limitations, including capacity and tower availability. Home Phone: Unlimited Home Phone Service is available with home phone unit. Service not available in all areas and may not be equivalent to landline phone service. Home Phone Service is not compatible with home security systems, fax machines, DVR services, credit card machines, or medical alert services. Deactivating a line of service will result in the account going to the next lower discount tier. 15 Day Guarantee: If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with Cellcom’s service, simply return the equipment within 15 days of purchase for a full refund of equipment. Taxes and Other Charges: Taxes on equipment and other charges may apply. A Regulatory and Other Recovery Fee, USF (Universal Service Fund) any applicable E911 fees and taxes are included in the monthly access and per minute airtime charges. The Regulatory and Other Recovery Fee is associated with the cost of administering and complying with government-mandated programs such as Wireless Number Pooling, TTY (Text telephone), CALEA (Communication Assistance for Law Enforcement Act) and Wireless Number Portability.
