- Cellcom has been preparing for over 24 months to handle the surge in mobile traffic.
- Key upgrades include:
- Deployment of temporary cell sites to boost capacity.
- Upgrades to existing infrastructure in high-traffic areas, including Lambeau Field, Titletown, and downtown Green Bay.
- A new cell site on the roof of the Legacy Hotel to boost capacity in and around the event.
- 5G millimeter (mmWave) wave band spectrum deployment – exclusive to Cellcom in Brown County. 5G mmWave provides significantly faster speeds and can handle many devices simultaneously. This spectrum is especially useful in densely populated areas, like the draft.
- Collaboration/boots on the ground with event organizers and local officials ensures optimal network performance.
