July 1, 2008-Green Bay, Wis. - Patrick D. Riordan, immediate past president of the Rural Cellular Association (RCA) board and president and CEO of Nsight, received the 2008 Outstanding Achievement Award for his extraordinary contributions to the wireless industry and the Rural Cellular Association (RCA).
This award, presented at the 16th annual RCA convention in April, distinguishes a person or organization whose efforts on behalf of the cellular telecommunication industry contribute in an extraordinary way to the industry’s and RCA success.
“Pat has represented the RCA positively in his dealings with other associations, pushing RCA’s interest to the forefront,” states Eric Peterson, executive director of RCA. “He has committed countless hours and dedicated seemingly infinite resources to the cause and concerns of RCA. He has been an active spokesperson for RCA before Congress and other policy bodies.”
The Rural Cellular Association represents over 270 companies.
A Wisconsin native, Riordan has worked at Nsight for almost 35 years.
Nsight is the corporate headquarters for a family of companies providing wireless, business and residential local phone service, long distance, internet, web hosting and tower erection and maintenance services in the Midwest. The list of subsidiaries under Nsight includes Cellcom, NetNet, Local Nsight, Nsight Long Distance, Northeast Telephone Company, Bayland Telephone, St. Paul Tower and NET Cable.
